Loan Performer offers you seven product types that include Loans, Savings, Time Deposits, General, Share Health Insurance and Tontine savings but you can create and have up to 99 products for every each of the four default product types.
Loan Performer also offers the flexibility of adding, modifying or deleting and disabling different products.
How to add a Product
To add a product you go to System->Configuration->Products and a screen like the one below shows up:
Product Type: From the drop down list, select the product type for which you are setting products, e.g., "Loans".
Product Identity: This text box will automatically be updated with the new product code. The product identity code is made of characters. The first character depicts the product type, e.g., "L"standing for Loans and the next three digits depict the product number, e.g, "001".
Name of product: Enter the name of the new product e.g., "Payday Loans". Click on the Add button to add the new product and repeat this for all the products that you have. The added products will appear in the scroll space.
Product Disabled: If you have discontinued a particular product and would not want the data entry personnel to enter any more transactions for this product you can disable it by ticking this box.
Limited in time: This item is applicable for time bound products for instance products that are run for a specific period/ time. When this button is clicked LPF allows a user to select a period range for that selected product e.g. "01/01/2023 - 31/12/2023" as seen below:
Note that you can click on the Print command button to view\print the Products and keep them for future reference

How to Modify or Delete a Product
To modify or delete a product you go to System->Configuration->Products and a screen like the one below shows up.
From the list of the displayed productsin the scroll space, click on the product that you want to modify or delete. The variables for the selected product will be displayed in the Product Type, Product Identity and Name of Product text boxes. You can then change the field to your specifications.
Click on the Update button to modify the product or on the Delete button to delete the product.
Note that you can click on the Print command button to view\print the products and keep them for future reference
